Justin Yap: RMT
Justin is a graduate from the 3000 hour massage therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster and is also an active member, in good standing, with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC). His focus and commitment is to provide quality care by designing therapeutic treatments to address the specific needs of each patient. His wide range of techniques include Osteopathic Techniques, Sports Massage, Fascial Manipulation, Counterstrain, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Trigger Point Therapy, Contractile Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Technique, and Prenatal Massage. He has experience in treating and providing relief to a wide range of orthopaedic, neurological, and systemic conditions which include, but are not limited to the following: Sports injuries, Whiplash, Low Back Pain, Headaches, Sciatica, Plantar Fasciitis, and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
Justin has a passion for educating and helping his patients achieve their desired goals and help improve their quality of life. He is currently deepening his knowledge in the 5 year Osteopathy program with Canadian College of Osteopathy and will graduate in 2021.
Justin was born in Calgary, AB, has lived in the Philippines and Penticton, BC and is currently residing in Vancouver, BC. He is an avid adventure seeker and enjoys traveling 4+ months internationally per year, and multi-day hiking & camping. He has hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro, West Coast Trail, Juan De Fuca trail, Haiku Stairs in Hawaii, Mt Sinai to name a few.
As an advocate for the arts, and a classically trained singer and pianist, Justin has recently performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He is currently singing with Vancouver-based, award winning Phoenix Chamber Choir. Check them out at their local concerts and performances with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre.
