  • Heidi Fitzpatrick RMT

    “she/her/hers”

Heidi’s path to massage therapy began in Ontario with 15 years of dance practice, then studying and practicing yoga for 10 years before completing a yoga teacher training program in 2010 through Langara College in Vancouver, and further study in India.

Around this time, a back injury and years of chronic pain from compounded injuries brought Heidi to seek out massage therapy. She found it so helpful; not only over time did she find relief from years of physical pain but it also helped with anxiety she had been experiencing. This inspired Heidi to enter massage therapy school and she graduated from The Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2012.

Heidi practices massage therapy with an intuitive, compassionate and caring approach and strives to make each person feel welcome and safe. She considers all layers of the body during treatment utilizing a blend of fascial techniques (which do not use oil as the intended tissues or structures need to be engaged), Swedish Massage (using organic oils), joint mobilizations, and stretching.

When appropriate, Heidi integrates mindfulness techniques into her massage treatments such as meditation, body awareness and breathing practices, and offers therapeutic home care including stretches, movement and strengthening for the body.

When not at Kitsilano Massage Therapy, Heidi can be found spending time with her partner and two children, moving her body in ways that bring her joy, and spending as much time as possible outside.

Heidi acknowledges that she lives and works on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

  • Jennifer Greene RMT

Jen graduated with honours from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, and she is driven by the joy she finds in helping people on their journey of healing and recovery. Her mission as a therapist is to work in partnership with her patients to create custom treatment plans that help them reach their health and wellness goals. She believes that mental and physical wellness are deeply intertwined, and that relaxation is a crucial part of every treatment.

Her treatments often include myofascial techniques, trigger point release and therapist-assisted stretching, but her core treatment principle is that massage should always feel good and be relaxing. The happy post-massage smile on her patients’ faces after their treatments bring her as much satisfaction as helping them achieve concrete improvements in their physical health and quality of life. In addition to it's physical benefits, she believes that massage is an amazing tool to help manage depression and anxiety and finds great reward in helping people do so.

Jen lives in and loves Kitsilano. When she’s not at the clinic you can find her at Jericho beach kayaking, biking, picnicking or playing disc golf, otherwise affectionately known as frolf.
